Position Overview:

We seek a meticulous and proactive Supply Chain Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role entails ensuring precise recording of Country of Origin, securing Long Term Supplier Declarations, assisting with Customer Country of Origin Requests, conducting thorough audits on UK Imports, and collaborating closely with key Carriers to enhance overall compliance standards.

 

Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting teams to facilitate timely exports to customers and receiving products from vendors by ensuring accurate documentation. This involves issuing declarations as needed, guiding teams in providing the correct HS codes, and liaising effectively with Customers, Vendors, and Transportation companies to streamline documentation and declarations.

 

Reporting to the Head of Logistics & Trade Compliance in the UK, this position will extend support across all international locations.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Ensure accurate recording of Country of Origin.

- Validate Country of Origin and obtain Certificates/Long Term Supplier Declarations from Vendors.

- Facilitate on-time product exports to customers and timely product receiving from vendors by coordinating correct documentation.

- Issue Declarations as necessary.

- Assist teams in providing accurate HS codes.

- Support Customer, Vendors, and Transport companies with documentation requests.

- Aid internal stakeholders with Export and Import enquiries and requests.

- Maintain HS Code and Country of Origin databases.

- Establish and uphold the Customs framework process.

- Conduct Audits on key Carriers for imports.

- Contribute to enhancing overall compliance through continuous improvements.

- Report results utilising Excel and Power BI.

- Support with CBAM requirements, data, and portal uploads.

- Stay aligned with customs regulations and sanctions supporting with any new measures.

 

Skills and Qualifications Required:

- Preferably, prior experience and a successful track record in a Supply Chain planning role.

- Proficiency in global customs procedures/processes.

- Knowledge in local India customs practices for both Imports and Exports

- Comprehensive understanding of HS codes.

- Knowledgeable about Transportation processes.

- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly advanced skills in MS Excel.

- Strong analytical skills with acute attention to detail.

- Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

- Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
